Group Programs
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of facilitating a wide range of group experiences — working with adults, children, pregnant women, and parent-child dyads in therapeutic, creative, and somatic settings.
These groups have brought together individuals from diverse life stages, professions, emotional backgrounds, and personal stories — including people living abroad (primarily Romanian speakers). Despite their differences, what connected them was a shared intention: to feel more at home in their bodies, to reconnect with themselves, and to cultivate greater emotional regulation and clarity, all within a warm and supportive group space.
What I’ve witnessed time and again is that healing is often amplified in safe, embodied group environments — when we realize we are not alone in our patterns, in our nervous system responses, or in our desire to feel more fully alive.
My group offerings integrate somatic practices, trauma-informed facilitation, nervous system education, and mindful movement, supporting participants in deepening their relationship with their body, emotions, and inner resilience.
The Body–Mind Story – Online & In-Person Group Program
The Body–Mind Story is a weekly group program, held both in person and online, designed as a journey of exploration and reconnection through the body.
The focus is on adapting the practices to each individual, rather than the other way around. In this way, every participant receives personalized therapeutic support (not psychotherapy, but a body-centered framework focused on the nervous system, health, and emotional balance).
This approach makes The Body–Mind Story more than just a movement or yoga class – it is a guided and contained process, attentive to each person’s uniqueness, and offering resources for integration into daily life.
The program introduces a different way of working: through a combination of therapeutic exercises, somatic practices, breathing techniques, trauma-sensitive yoga, Somatic Experiencing®, guided reflection, and tools inspired by psychotherapy. It integrates perspectives from neuroscience, psychology, and trauma research, alongside methods of body awareness and movement designed to support emotional regulation and the development of resilience.
We work primarily through the body – conscious movement, breath, exploration of sensations, posture, and inner rhythm. Speaking and theoretical input are present only as psychoeducational support, to enrich the experience or respond to participants’ questions.
The emphasis is not on performance or “doing it right,” but on rediscovering the body as a place of safety, resource, and healing.
Why this program
We live in a time where we have access to an overwhelming amount of information and resources about health, movement, meditation, and lifestyle habits. There are apps, books, podcasts, online platforms, and countless daily “rituals to do.” We know that movement is beneficial, we know the theory, we have the tools at hand — and yet, I keep noticing, both with clients and with people around me, how difficult it is to actually put these things into practice on our own.
For many, even five minutes of daily exercise is hard to sustain in the long run. The apparent freedom of “I’ll do it on my own, whenever and however I want” sometimes becomes an obstacle: without structure and a sense of belonging, it is difficult to maintain a self-care habit.
In other cases, a weekly psychotherapy session — even body-oriented — is not enough for true integration. And for some, individual therapy may feel like too big of a step at first. A weekly group, on the other hand, can be more accessible and a better entry point for exploration.
There are also those who have already gone through a process of individual psychotherapy and feel that working alone is enough for now, but who are looking for a natural transition into group work: a space to experiment alongside others, to continue their process through movement, reflection, and relationship — in a gentle and contained setting.
This program is designed for:
- those who want to implement more body-based practice and benefit from research-validated effects (self-awareness, emotional regulation, clarity, focus, energy management, vitality),
- those who already practice movement but still feel blocked, disconnected, or lacking in meaning,
- those who struggle with managing emotions or relationships and are seeking a safe space to explore these dynamics,
- those who have gone through individual psychotherapy and feel it is time to expand into a group setting.
Body–Mind Story was created out of these challenges I’ve observed in so many people and out of my intention to offer a safe, trauma-informed space where we can practice together — meeting each person where they are, not only physically but also emotionally and relationally — and co-create a space of mutual support.
This program also addresses a need I don’t see fulfilled by many other resources: the need for belonging. Apps or on-demand classes are excellent for those who want flexibility and autonomy. But for many of us, what is missing is human connection: the sense that we are part of a group, that we are seen and supported, that we can renegotiate relational and collective trauma through real encounters with others.
Whether in online format or in live in-person meetings, The Body–Mind Story provides exactly this kind of container: a space for practice, connection, and belonging, where body, mind, and relationships can be rediscovered and healed step by step.
Why is the body the key?
Emotions are embodied states. Fear, anger, sadness, joy — all have clear physiological signatures: heartbeat, breathing, muscle tension, or relaxation. If we stay only at the level of words, we miss the very foundation of emotions — the body that feels them.
The nervous system needs regulation, not just explanations. Fight, flight, or freeze responses are automatic. For balance and connection, we need lived bodily experiences: conscious movement, sensation tracking, breathing, and more.
Defenses live in the body as well, not only in the psyche. Shallow breathing, a tight stomach, a tense throat — these are old protective patterns. Embodied experience helps us become aware of them, release them, and find healthier ways of being in the world.
Relationship is an embodied experience. Early experiences remain as imprints and bodily patterns. Healing from trauma does not happen through words alone, but also through addressing these patterns and protective mechanisms, with respect and compassion in relationship.
What we do in the sessions
Each meeting is designed as a space for exploration and practice, where we weave together somatic exercises, guided reflection, and creative activities. We start from the participants’ questions and needs, and theory appears only where it supports direct experience. The focus remains on the body, movement, and integration.
- Sensory and movement exercises – connecting with the senses, exploring your unique embodiment, and regaining a sense of safety and grounding in the body. These practices support awareness, emotional regulation, and a healthier relationship with yourself and others.
- Conscious movement and trauma-sensitive yoga – gentle, accessible, and adapted sequences that bring stability, flow, and safety into the body, without emphasis on performance or perfect poses.
- Therapeutic yoga adaptations – personalized practices, tailored to each participant’s health needs and conditions, to support the body in its process of healing and rebalancing.
- Breathwork and somatic mindfulness – breathing techniques and practices of presence that facilitate self-regulation, reduce stress, and support inner balance.
- Somatic Experiencing® – exercises for activating resources, regulating the nervous system, releasing tension, and cultivating resilience.
- Creative expression (art therapy) – drawing, modeling, or other expressive forms to integrate emotions and support self-discovery.
- Experiential learning in group – interactive activities that help recognize relational patterns and deepen self-understanding, in a safe and contained setting.
- Reflection and journaling – guided writing and self-observation as ways of exploring and integrating thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
Each session thus becomes a living process where science and practice meet, and the body gradually learns new patterns of safety, vitality, and connection.
Throughout the program, alongside the practical component, we also address key themes for body–mind health, such as:
- how fascia stores and releases emotional and physical tension
- the role of breathing in regulating stress, anxiety, and supporting mental health
- posture and how it influences emotions, energy, and relationships
- interoception (awareness of internal sensations), proprioception (awareness of body position and movement), exteroception (awareness of the external environment), and neuroception (the body’s ability to sense safety or danger)
- personal boundaries and cultivating a sense of safety within the body
- physical balance and its connection with psychological stability, the capacity to center oneself, and remain grounded in the present moment
- managing energy and emotions, reducing overthinking, and supporting a clearer, calmer way of functioning
- the nervous system and self-regulation – how we can strengthen resilience and return from states of stress, anxiety, or shutdown
- body–mind health across different stages of life, adapted to participants’ needs and questions.
Creating a safe space and a supportive community
A central aspect of The Body–Mind Story is creating a space where each participant feels understood, accepted, and supported. Belonging to a group offers a sense of safety and grounding, helping you realize that you are not alone in what you are experiencing.
An atmosphere of trust, respect, and gentleness is essential so that everyone can open up at their own pace and share what they feel.
Through consistent participation in this program, you will become part of a supportive community where people encourage and inspire each other throughout their journey of healing, reconnection, and personal transformation.
What you will be able to experience and learn
- Developing the capacity to notice sensations, emotions, and thoughts in order to better understand your experiences, build resources, and ease the effects of stress, trauma, and physical symptoms.
- Using the body as a pathway for self-awareness, recovery, healing, and psychological well-being.
- Strengthening your ability to regulate emotions and manage stress.
- Becoming aware of defense mechanisms that are no longer useful and that keep you from living the way you truly want.
- Identifying patterns of thinking, posture, movement, and relating that perpetuate stress, imbalance, and blockages — and transforming them into new, healthy, and sustainable habits.
- Training the nervous system to sustain and integrate these new patterns into all areas of your life.

What Participants Say
Over time, I’ve had the joy of working with people from diverse backgrounds — group participants, collaborators from the educational field, and communities engaged in personal and relational growth.
Here are some of their words:
For me, the group experience meant a lot. Both the group dynamics and the way Adelina facilitated the sessions made me feel heard, understood, and supported in reconnecting with my body. Honestly, during the first few sessions, it was hard for me to allow myself to feel emotions and bodily sensations — but over time, I realized how important it is to have the courage to do just that. The structure of the workshop — with both theory and practical components — really helped me integrate and understand new concepts more easily. This experience taught me to be more attentive to my body, more present, and more aware of how I feel in various life situations. (Ruxandra)
A year ago, I surprised myself with a strong decision:
'I’m going to the somatic therapy group!' It was non-negotiable. All I knew was that… I was somatizing. 🥹 Since then, I’ve learned to relate to my body not as a shell that carries me around, but as a part of me that needs care and attention.I feel like I’ve learned so much! From Adelina — our incredibly gentle and patient guide — and from the group, which welcomed me and all the vulnerable parts of me I found the safety and trust to share. Thank you, Adelina! I received so much more from the somatic therapy group than I ever expected. 🥰 (Cristina)
A year ago, I was caught in a mental and emotional whirlwind that had been going on for years. My body was giving me clear signs that it was carrying too much. That’s how I met Adelina and The Body-Mind Story program. Together with her and the group, I began exploring my own barriers. With calm, gentleness, and empathy, Adelina guided us and taught us how to discover our own inner resources. She created a safe space where I felt comfortable expressing myself, and I learned to follow my body and to accept that I am not broken, but in the process of becoming. I found the courage to feel all emotions—frustration, anger, sadness, or joy—and to recognize them as part of me. Thank you, Adelina, for your kind words, patience, inspiration, and hope! (Luminița)
The somatic therapy group was a valuable experience for me. The gentle guidance, the clear explanations, the exercises that took me from theory into lived experience, and the authentic connection formed within the group created a space where I could feel, learn, and grow. I had ‘aha’ moments that continued to resonate within me long after. I hold gratitude and the joy of having said ‘yes’ to this process. (Alina)
I’ve attended several of Adelina’s workshops, as well as individual counseling sessions related to my children and the challenges we faced at kindergarten and beyond. Each time, I was deeply impressed by her professionalism, warmth, and dedication. The respect, attention, and genuine care she offers to everyone she works with make her the right choice — whether you're considering individual sessions or joining one of her events. (Andrea)
From the very first moment, I found interacting with Adelina easy, pleasant, and natural. She helped me clarify aspects of my relationship with my children and better understand their behavior, which made handling conflict situations much easier. Adelina is someone I genuinely enjoy talking to every time. (Andreea)
