Psychotherapy & Psychological Counseling
Psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy is a relational and in-depth process, held within a safe, confidential, and carefully supported space. I work with adults, both in-person and online, using an integrative approach that combines relational psychotherapy with somatic work, with a central focus on the mind–body connection.
In the therapeutic process, we explore how you experience yourself — emotionally, cognitively, and physically — and how your patterns of thinking, behavior, emotions, and bodily responses have formed and continue to shape your life. This is a space where difficulties can be explored at a pace that respects your resources and limits.
I take an integrative approach to psychotherapy, combining multiple therapeutic approaches, with a consistent focus on the body as a space of lived experience. I integrate relational, emotionally oriented, and trauma-informed psychotherapy with somatic work to support processes of awareness, regulation, and integration. This perspective is grounded in the understanding that our experiences are not only “told” but also lived and stored in the body — in sensations, tension patterns, breathing, and nervous system responses.
Psychotherapy is not about quick fixes or dramatic interventions, but about a process that unfolds over time, within a stable and supportive framework where experiences, emotions, thoughts, relationships, and bodily responses can be explored. For some, change happens gradually, through increased clarity, safety, and inner flexibility. For others, there may be moments of emotional intensity or deep insight, which are carefully supported and integrated within the process.
Psychological Counseling (Short-Term Support)
In addition to psychotherapy, I also offer psychological counseling sessions focused on clarity and support within a specific life context.
Counseling is suitable when you are facing a specific situation or a clearly defined difficulty and are looking for a space for reflection, structure, and guidance, without necessarily entering a long-term, in-depth therapeutic process.
This type of work is usually shorter in duration and more focused on the present moment and current circumstances.
Counseling is oriented toward specific situations, clarity, and short-term support.
Psychotherapy, by contrast, is a deeper process that explores emotional, relational, and somatic patterns formed over time and requires a more consistent and ongoing space for understanding and integration.
Depending on your needs, we can decide together which approach is most appropriate.
I work in both English and Romanian, depending on the client’s preference. Online sessions are available internationally.
Who This Work Is For
This type of work (psychotherapy or counseling, depending on your needs) may be suitable for you if:
- you are experiencing emotional, relational, or bodily difficulties that require deeper understanding and integration;
- you struggle with anxiety, chronic tension, exhaustion, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or a sense of being stuck;
- you are going through transitions or losses (separation, divorce, grief, career changes, relocation, becoming a parent) and need support to better understand yourself;
- you notice repetitive patterns in your thoughts, emotions, or relationships that no longer serve you (self-criticism, indecision, relational difficulties);
- you find it difficult to regulate your reactions, impulses, or behaviors, even when you “know” what would be best for you;
- you are dealing with addictive behaviors or coping strategies that have become costly (overworking, control, relationship with food, etc.);
- you have been impacted by difficult or traumatic experiences (emotional, relational, or developmental) that continue to influence your present life;
- you have experienced shock trauma (accidents, medical procedures, difficult birth experiences);
- you experience physical symptoms or internal states that are difficult to understand or integrate;
- you find it difficult to feel safe in your body or in relationships;
- you have experienced abuse, neglect, abandonment, or coercive relational environments;
- you are living with a chronic illness or medical condition and need psychological support.
Or you are seeking clarity and support:
- you function well on the outside, but experience inner tension, restlessness, or a lack of meaning;
- you are at a point of decision (personal or professional) or going through a period of adjustment and need a space for reflection;
- you are in a position of responsibility (leader, entrepreneur, manager, or working with people) and need a space to process the emotional impact of your role;
- you work in emotionally demanding environments (medical, social, educational, NGOs, HR, or other people-oriented fields) and are regularly exposed to stress, suffering, or trauma;
- you work with children or vulnerable populations and want to better understand the impact of trauma — both on those you support and on yourself;
- you need a space for emotional processing, reflection, and regulation in order to remain present, grounded, and effective in your role;
- you want to develop your capacity for presence, emotional regulation, and authentic relating, including in professional contexts.
